About the Default Translation (Mac to Mac Menu) ———————————————————————————————— Translator written by Karl B. Young. Translator © 1987-90, Apple Computer, Inc. What It Does ———————— This default translation creates bit-for-bit copies of Macintosh files. The resulting files are identical to files copied with the Finder. How to Use It ————————— If all the other translators in the Mac to Mac menu are inactive or unable to translate a file, Apple File Exchange performs the default translation. By using the default translation, you can copy Macintosh files from one disk or folder to another. To ensure that Apple File Exchange performs the default translation, you must deactivate all other translators in the menu. (Active translators are checked in the menu. To deactivate an active translator, select the translator's menu item.) Note: You cannot deactivate the default translation.
